Family Demands Immediate Recovery of Missing Shopkeeper in Turbat

TURBAT: The family of Abdul Latif, a shopkeeper who went missing from Turbat’s main bazaar, has demanded his immediate recovery during a press conference at Turbat Press Club.
According to the relatives, Abdul Latif, son of Abdul Rehman and a resident of Mir Kalag, was forcibly taken away by unidentified individuals on **September 13, 2025, at around 3 p.m.** near his shop close to the National Bank. He is around 40 years old.
The family stated that if Abdul Latif has committed any crime, he should be presented before a court to fulfill legal requirements, but his enforced disappearance is unacceptable. They added that despite three days having passed, no information has been provided, leaving the family in severe distress.
His sister highlighted that Abdul Latif suffers from high blood pressure, and prolonged detention or disappearance could put his life at risk.
The relatives accused the district administration of offering only verbal assurances without taking any concrete action. They warned that if Abdul Latif is not recovered within three days, they will be forced to launch a **wheel-jam strike and block major highways in protest**.
They stressed that while they are peaceful citizens, they cannot remain silent over the disappearance of their loved one. The family appealed to senior authorities and human rights organizations for immediate intervention, warning that any further delay in Abdul Latif’s recovery would be intolerable and could endanger his life.
