Mecca Defence Agreement a Milestone for Peace, Development and Public Prosperity: Saudi FM
MAKKAH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has described the Mecca Defence Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye as a major milestone for peace, development and prosperity in the three countries.
In a statement posted on X, Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the signing of the joint Mecca Defence Agreement by the Saudi Crown Prince, the President of Türkiye and the Prime Minister of Pakistan reaffirmed the strong brotherly relations among the three countries.
He said the agreement represented an important milestone in defence cooperation between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye and reflected their shared commitment to addressing common threats that could affect regional security and stability.
Commitment to Regional Security
Prince Faisal said the Mecca Defence Agreement demonstrated the three countries’ shared political commitment to protecting security and stability and creating a safer regional environment.
He added that the agreement would further strengthen cooperation among the three brotherly nations and contribute to promoting peace and stability across the region.

Greater Development and Economic Opportunities
According to the Saudi foreign minister, the agreement would help pave the way for a safer future while creating an environment conducive to development, prosperity and greater economic opportunities.
He said the growing defence cooperation between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye would not only strengthen bilateral and trilateral relations among the three countries but also play an important role in enhancing collective security in the region.
Prince Faisal expressed confidence that closer cooperation under the agreement would contribute to a more secure and stable regional environment, ultimately benefiting the people of the three countries.
