Imran Khan Willing to Negotiate for Pakistan’s Sake, Calls Party to Prepare for Movement

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated he is ready for a “give and take” approach for the sake of Pakistan, expressing openness to dialogue with the establishment.
Speaking to the media after meeting Imran Khan in jail, PTI Senator Ali Zafar conveyed that Khan emphasized he is not seeking any personal concessions. “If I wanted relief, I would have asked for it long ago,” Khan reportedly said.
Khan affirmed his readiness to engage in talks for national unity, stating, “I want justice, and my cases should be heard as soon as possible.” He reiterated that his doors remain open for negotiations in the interest of the country.
Regarding the upcoming protest movement, the PTI founder said the party will announce a clear action plan within the next five to six days. He directed the party leadership to fully prepare for the movement, warning that he will no longer tolerate inaction. “I will not allow anyone to play on both sides of the wicket,” he added.
Khan also expressed strong reservations over the four-member political committee formed in Punjab. He has instructed for the committee’s notification to be reissued and appointed Alia Hamza as the new head of the committee.
The earlier committee included Salman Akram Raja, Omar Ayub, Ahmad Khan Bachhar, and Usman Akram. However, after party leaders briefed Khan on the structure, he ordered changes, naming Alia Hamza as the lead.
Senator Ali Zafar has been assigned the task of communicating the changes, while PTI’s legal team, including Alia Hamza, Ali Imran, and Faisal Chaudhry, confirmed the developments during informal conversations with journalists outside the prison.
