Baloch Students Organization (PSO) Condemns Corruption in Balochistan’s Education System, Demands Action

Turbat:The provincial spokesperson of the Baloch Students Organization (PSO) has issued a statement accusing the authorities of deliberately destroying educational institutions in Balochistan. The spokesperson revealed shocking statistics, stating that currently, 600,000 children in Balochistan are out of school, and over 60,000 schools are closed.
The statement further criticized the Balochistan Board in Quetta for what the PSO calls the “auctioning” of marks for matriculation and FSc exams, which is a deeply concerning issue. The PSO condemned the corrupt practices within the Balochistan Board, particularly in the recent medical entry test. According to the statement, the corrupt system and bribery within the Board have severely harmed underprivileged students. Those students who scored 170 marks in the test ended up with low aggregate scores due to the Board’s manipulation of marks. In contrast, students who paid bribes to increase their marks managed to secure high aggregates, despite having scores as low as 140.
The PSO described this as a clear reflection of the Board’s education-hostile mentality and corrupt practices. The widespread use of cheating and mark manipulation, the spokesperson argued, is pushing Balochistan’s students towards destruction and is a grave concern.
The PSO has announced that they will launch a movement against the Balochistan Board to demand accountability for its corrupt actions. They stated that it is unacceptable for talented students to be deprived of opportunities due to this unjust system. The spokesperson emphasized that a bright future for Balochistan can only be secured through education, not through cheating or auctioning marks. They have called for a thorough investigation into the Balochistan Board’s practices and demanded strict action against those responsible for the corruption.
