Zahri Hails Ali Madad Jatk’s Victory in PB-45 By-election, Urges Opponents to Accept Defeat
Quetta:Senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, has expressed his satisfaction over the victory of PPP candidate Ali Madad Jatk in the recent by-election for PB-45, calling it a positive outcome. He urged the opposition parties to accept their defeat gracefully.
In a statement issued on Monday, Nawab Zehri stated that Ali Madad Jatk, a dedicated PPP worker, had won the election on February 8, but his victory was challenged by his opponents, who failed to acknowledge their defeat. He added that PPP had accepted the decision of the Election Tribunal and participated in the election in accordance with its ruling.
Zehri further explained that Ali Madad Jatk’s success was bolstered by the withdrawal of other candidates and the strong support of PPP’s dedicated voter base. This overwhelming support, he stated, has made it difficult for the opposition to accept the result, leading to protests over the defeat.
The former chief minister emphasized that Ali Madad Jatk had won in 15 polling stations and that these results would not be altered. “The people of Balochistan have made their decision, and we will not allow the results to be changed,” he stated firmly.
Nawab Zehri also reiterated that Balochistan is on the path of development and that the people’s decision reflects their desire for progress. He called on all political forces to respect the democratic process and accept the people’s mandate.
