Quetta Hit-and-Run: CCTV Helps Police Nab Suspect After Woman Killed in Speeding Incident

Quetta:Police have arrested a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident near the Railway Girls School on Joint Road in Quetta. The arrest was made possible through CCTV footage, which helped track down the suspect after the vehicle involved changed hands multiple times.
The tragic incident occurred six days ago when 30-year-old Sumayya Saleem Raza was walking with her father and was struck by a speeding car. She was critically injured and rushed to Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
During the investigation, police discovered that the car had been sold to 16 different buyers, with the 16th and final owner turning out to be the suspect. The accused has confessed to the crime, admitting that the accident was caused due to over-speeding. Legal proceedings are now underway.
This heartbreaking event underscores the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of adhering to traffic laws to ensure public safety.
