Polyclinic Hospital on High Alert Ahead of PTI’s November 24 Protest in Islamabad
Islamabad:In anticipation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Islamabad on November 24, Polyclinic Hospital has been placed on high alert. The hospital administration has canceled the emergency staff’s leave and directed ambulance services to remain on standby to handle any emergencies that may arise during the protest.
Dr. Abdul Wali Khan, Deputy Executive Director of Polyclinic Hospital, issued an official notification regarding the hospital’s preparedness. As per the directive, Dr. Tanveer, the Chief Coordinator of the City Emergency Medical Operations (CCMO), has been appointed as the focal person to monitor the situation closely and coordinate the hospital’s response.
This decision comes as PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, has called for a major protest in Islamabad, and preparations for the demonstration are reportedly in full swing. The hospital has made all necessary arrangements to ensure readiness for any medical contingencies.
In parallel, the federal government has warned PTI against holding protests in Islamabad, emphasizing that Section 144 has been enforced in the capital, prohibiting public gatherings. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in a media statement, made it clear that if PTI proceeds with its plan to storm Islamabad, the responsibility for any loss of life or damage to property would fall squarely on PTI’s leadership.
The government’s warning and the hospital’s precautionary measures reflect the heightened tensions ahead of the planned protest, with authorities preparing for potential unrest in the capital.
