Gas Disruption During Sehri Hours Causes Hardship for Karachi and Rawalpindi Residents

Residents of Karachi and Rawalpindi faced significant hardships as gas supply was disrupted during Sehri hours. In Karachi, various areas experienced a complete gas outage, leaving citizens struggling to prepare for the pre-dawn meal. Similarly, complaints of gas shortages were reported from several areas of Rawalpindi.

Both Sui Northern and Sui Southern Gas companies had previously assured consumers that they had taken steps to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply during Ramadan, particularly during Sehri, Iftar, and afternoon hours. Sui Northern claimed that gas would be supplied without any interruption during Sehri and Iftar times, as well as throughout the day.

Sui Southern also made an announcement stating that gas would be available from the night until 9 AM for Sehri, and from 3:30 PM to 10 PM for Iftar. However, on the very first day of Ramadan, these assurances proved to be false, as gas supply was interrupted during Sehri hours, causing inconvenience to many.
