The statement further revealed that Faiz had been formally arrested on charges of misusing official power, resources, and involvement in personal and illegal activities.
ISPR also stated that investigations were underway into his potential role in the **May 9 riots**. Several federal ministers have alleged that **Faiz Hameed** and **Imran Khan** might have been involved in the incidents. However, ISPR clarified that investigations into **May 9 events** are ongoing to determine Faiz’s involvement.
Sources added that investigations are also being conducted regarding possible **indirect or direct connections** between Faiz Hameed and **Imran Khan**, to ascertain whether these interactions were politically motivated or involved any **collusion**.
