Acute Medicine Shortage at Kohlu’s 50-Bed Hospital Causes Hardship for Patients

Kohlu:The 50-bed Civil Hospital in Kohlu, Balochistan, is facing a severe shortage of medicines, leaving patients in distress. Patients from remote areas such as Tehsil Kahan, Tehsil Mawand, Sub-Tehsil Garasi, Sub-Tehsil Tembo, and Sub-Tehsil Sefid arrive with hope but find that while hospital staff and doctors are present, essential medications like Paracetamol and fever reducers are unavailable.

Furthermore, there is a lack of fuel for ambulances, complicating the referral process for patients needing advanced treatment.

Public and social circles have appealed to tribal leader Nawab Jangez Mari and Deputy Commissioner Kohlu Aqeel Ahmed Baloch to take immediate action. They urge that essential medicines and ambulance fuel be provided promptly to alleviate the hardships faced by patients coming from distant areas.
