CM Sarfraz Bugti Hails Successful Anti-Terror Operations in Balochistan
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed satisfaction over successful operations against terrorists in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur, and paid tribute to the security forces for their professionalism, bravery and timely actions.
In a statement, the chief minister said the elimination of 37 terrorists in different areas of Balochistan was a major success. He praised the professional expertise, courage and timely response of the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the sacrifices of security forces and law-enforcement agencies in the war against terrorism reflected the nation’s resolve to establish lasting peace. He said operations against terrorist networks had effectively weakened the capabilities of elements working against peace.
He said every attempt to undermine peace in Balochistan under Indian patronage would be foiled. Terrorist elements would not be allowed to disrupt the lives of the people or hinder the province’s development process.
The chief minister said intelligence-based operations and other effective measures would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated. He added that sustainable peace in Balochistan remained among the provincial government’s top priorities.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti further said state institutions, with the cooperation of the nation, would continue their struggle until the menace of terrorism was completely eradicated.
