UK Records Fifth Heatwave as Temperatures Rise Above 30°C

The United Kingdom is experiencing its fifth heatwave of the year, with temperatures remaining above 30°C across parts of the country.
According to media reports, temperatures exceeded 30°C for 34 days in 1995. In 2026, the number of days with temperatures above 30°C has already reached 35.
The UK Met Office has forecast that temperatures in East Anglia and the South East could reach 36°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the UK Health Security Agency has issued a yellow heat-health alert for London, the East and West Midlands, and Yorkshire and the Humber.
The intense heat and dry conditions have also contributed to several wildfires in parts of the country.
