Rain Expected in Punjab, Balochistan, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir
ISLAMABAD:** Rain is expected at several places across Punjab, Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir today, according to the latest weather forecast.
Several areas of Lahore received rain early in the morning, making the weather pleasant for residents.
The National Emergencies Operation Center has warned of a possible increase in water flows in major rivers across the country.
Low to moderate-level flooding is also feared in urban areas of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Okara and Lahore.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, low to moderate flooding may occur in streams, nullahs and rain-fed waterways in Chitral, Upper Dir, Abbottabad, Shangla, Khyber, Orakzai, Kohat, Tank, North Waziristan and South Waziristan.
Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert as rainfall could increase water levels in rivers and local waterways.
