Saudi Crown Prince, President Trump Discuss Regional Tensions in Phone Call

Islamabad: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and U.S. President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East, according to media reports.

During the call, the Saudi Crown Prince reportedly expressed concern over alleged U.S. plans for major military strikes against Iran. He urged President Trump to help reduce regional tensions and avoid military action against Tehran.

According to foreign media reports, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and Pakistan have also been urging the United States to pursue de-escalation and avoid further escalation in the region.

Meanwhile, Qatari mediators have reportedly been in contact with Iran’s foreign minister, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Omani officials as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Separately, a U.S. news website claimed that there has been some progress in negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement to ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The reported developments have not been officially confirmed by the governments involved.
