UAE Announces Easier Access to Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced enhanced facilitation for applicants seeking its five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, allowing eligible travelers from around the world to visit the country multiple times without the need for a local sponsor or host.
According to media reports, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai has clarified the eligibility criteria and application procedure for the self-sponsored visa, which remains valid for five years.
Under the visa scheme, holders are permitted to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days per visit, with the option to extend their stay by an additional 90 days. However, the total period of stay must not exceed 180 days within a single year.
Applicants must meet several requirements, including:
A passport valid for at least six months.
Recent passport-sized photographs.
Valid health insurance.
A confirmed return ticket.
Bank statements covering the previous six months.
Proof of maintaining a minimum bank balance of US$4,000 (or its equivalent) during the six months prior to applying.
Applications can be submitted 24 hours a day through the UAE government’s official digital platforms and smart applications.
According to the announced guidelines, the total fee for the five-year multiple-entry tourist visa is AED 3,713, and citizens of all countries are eligible to apply, subject to meeting the prescribed requirements.
