Ramadan 2026: Fasting Duration in Gulf Countries Expected to Be 12–13 Hours

**Dubai (Qudrat Daily):** During Ramadan 2026, the fasting duration in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is expected to range between 12 and 13 hours.

Meteorologists and astronomical experts have indicated that the timing of Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (fast-breaking) in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman will be closely aligned, making it easier for residents to maintain a balanced routine while observing fasts. In contrast, fasting durations in northern Europe and some other regions may be significantly longer.

Authorities have also noted that official working hours, school schedules, and public activities in GCC countries are likely to be adjusted to accommodate worship and daily life during Ramadan. Final Suhoor and Iftar timings will be announced by relevant authorities before the start of the holy month.

Experts say that the moderate fasting duration in the Gulf region provides convenience for religious observance, daily planning, and health, while Muslims worldwide prepare for the holy month according to local conditions.
