JI Balochistan Chief Says Province Facing Serious Security Crisis, Calls for Decisive Action
Quetta: Hidayat Ur Rehman Baloch has said that Balochistan is facing a grave security crisis, alleging that state institutions have failed to adequately protect both civilians and law enforcement personnel from ongoing terrorist violence.
Speaking at an event in Gwadar, the Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan chief said the province was “sitting on a powder keg,” with innocent civilians continuing to fall victim to terrorist attacks. He also claimed that police and Levies personnel had repeatedly sacrificed their lives while carrying out their duties.
Referring to the recent incidents in Hanna Urak and Ziarat, Hidayat Ur Rehman said the province remained under the grip of terrorism and that innocent young people were being killed on a daily basis.
He urged the federal government and security institutions to take sincere and effective measures to restore law and order, arguing that statements of condemnation alone were not enough. He called for immediate and decisive action against militant groups and those allegedly facilitating their activities.
