Brutality of Kidnappers in Jhal Magsi: Two More Hostages Killed, Bodies Dumped by Roadside

Four of Five Abducted on 17 October Brutally Killed, One Still Held Captive; Police Badly Fail to Catch Killers

DERA MURAD JAMALI (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Armed kidnappers in Jhal Magsi have shot dead two more hostages and fled after dumping their bodies by the roadside in the Ghatra area. The number of hostages killed by the armed kidnappers has now reached four, while one hostage is still in the custody of the kidnappers.

According to police, among the five people abducted by armed men on 17 October while travelling from the jurisdiction of Kotra police station toward Gandawah Khari, two hostages — Maulvi Sadiq Abro and Liaquat Ali Abro — were shot dead, and their bodies were dumped by the roadside in the Ghatra area before the attackers fled. Police officials said that two hostages had already been killed earlier, bringing the toll to four, while one hostage remains in the kidnappers’ custody.

On receiving information about the incident, a police contingent and a large number of local people reached the scene, took custody of the bodies and shifted them to District Hospital Gandawah, where after necessary proceedings the bodies were handed over to the heirs. Police are carrying out further investigation.
