Karachi Expected to Experience Higher Temperatures Today, Says Meteorological Department

Karachi:The **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)** has forecast a rise in temperatures across Karachi today, with the city’s mercury expected to increase by one to two degrees Celsius.

According to the weather department, the maximum temperature is likely to reach **37°C** during the day. However, due to high humidity levels, residents may experience a **feels-like temperature of up to 38°C**.

The PMD said hot and humid conditions are expected to persist throughout the day, although light drizzle may occur in some areas of the city.

Weather officials also reported that southwesterly winds are currently blowing at a speed of **19 kilometers per hour**, while humidity levels stand at **74 percent**, contributing to increased discomfort despite temperatures remaining below extreme heatwave levels.

Authorities have advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
