Armed Robbery Outside Girls’ School in Quetta Leaves Security Guard and Child Injured

Quetta: A security guard and a young child were injured during a daylight robbery outside a government girls’ school in Khalji Colony, Quetta, after armed suspects opened fire and fled the scene, police and witnesses said.

According to eyewitnesses, three armed robbers were involved in the incident, which took place in front of the Government Girls School. During the robbery, the suspects allegedly opened fire on the school’s security guard after he offered resistance, leaving him seriously wounded.

Witnesses said the suspects attempted to escape in panic after the shooting. While fleeing at high speed, they reportedly struck a child, causing serious injuries.

Local residents and police rushed to the scene immediately after the incident. In their haste to escape, the suspects allegedly abandoned a pistol and a motorcycle, both of which were recovered by police.

The injured security guard and the child were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the suspects using the weapon and motorcycle recovered from the scene as part of the evidence.

The brazen daytime attack outside the school has caused concern among local residents and the parents of students, raising fresh questions about public safety in the area.
