Balochistan CM Rejects Proposal to Increase Jail Employees’ Salaries

Quetta, Daily Qudrat – Employees of Balochistan’s Jail Department will not receive salary increases similar to those in Punjab, as Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has rejected the summary submitted by the Inspector General of Prisons.

According to jail department officials, the IG of Prisons had proposed a salary hike for department employees, modeled on Punjab’s system, and sent the summary to the Chief Minister for approval. However, the CM declined the proposal and directed that it be included instead in the budget proposals for the next financial year.
