Proposed Farm Scheme Rejected on Contested Land in Aghberg; Landowners Appeal to CM and NAB for Action

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Landowners in the area of Dhokhabah Zhod Aghberg have strongly opposed a proposed farm scheme on disputed land, demanding a halt to all transactions and development activities.
Owners of the land, including Malik Aslam Bazai, Muhammad Yousuf Bazai, Habib-ur-Rahman, Atiqullah, Ahmadullah, Islam Muhammad, Shamsullah, Zafarullah, and other farmers, stated that the land has long been under legal dispute, with a clear court stay order issued by the Additional Commissioner. Despite this, the Quetta Development Authority (QDA) is attempting to initiate the scheme, which the landowners describe as a serious concern.
According to the owners, clashes had previously occurred on this disputed land, leaving several people injured, and these incidents were reported in social and mainstream media. They warned that starting any development project under such conditions could pose a significant threat to local peace and security.
The landowners highlighted that issues regarding ownership and new arrangements in the area are currently under review in the Balochistan High Court and the Commissioner’s office in Quetta. Any attempt by a government authority to purchase or develop the land at this stage would violate court orders.
They alleged that certain individuals had previously sold the land illegally in collusion with private developers, and attempts are now being made to sell it to a government body using forged documents, potentially causing losses to the national exchequer. They further noted that the private developer’s multiple residential schemes in Nawan Kali lack QDA NOCs, and several cases are pending against them in various authorities.
The landowners have urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Chief Secretary, Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court, DG NAB, and DG Anti-Corruption to take immediate notice and halt any purchases or the dairy farm project on the disputed land. They suggested that non-disputed government land be chosen for such development to avoid conflicts and untoward incidents.
The statement emphasized that the landowners will continue to defend their legal ownership rights through all constitutional and legal forums and will not accept any illegal actions.
