Islamabad Court Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants for Sohail Afridi, Orders His Appearance by July 9

ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Sohail Afridi and ordered authorities to arrest and produce him before the court by July 9.

The order was issued during the hearing of a case in which Afridi is accused of making allegations against state institutions.

The court took action after Afridi failed to appear for the hearing, directing law enforcement authorities to ensure his arrest and presentation on the next hearing date.

According to court proceedings, a case has been registered against Sohail Afridi under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

The case will now be taken up again on July 9, when the court expects the accused to be produced following the execution of the arrest warrants.
