Azam Swati Says Talks with Imran Khan Will Be Fruitful, Expresses Nationwide Support for PTI Founder

Lahore: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Azam Khan Swati, stated that efforts have been made to convince PTI founder Imran Khan to engage in negotiations, and when talks begin, they will be beneficial. Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore, Swati emphasized that Imran Khan cares deeply about the future of the country and its generations.
Swati further mentioned, “The founder of PTI is concerned about the nation and the future of its generations. We have persuaded him to consider talks, and I believe these discussions will prove to be highly beneficial.”
He also highlighted the importance of the country, saying, “This nation belongs to all of us, and the fate of our future generations is tied to it. Now, the entire country loves the founder of PTI.”
The remarks came during a hearing regarding the interim bail request of Azam Swati in connection with four cases, including the incidents of arson and vandalism at Jinnah House. The ATC Judge, Manzar Ali Gill, heard the bail petitions.
During the hearing, the prosecution failed to present the case record to the court, citing that the records were with the Supreme Court and that the bail petitions were under consideration there. When questioned by the judge about the timing of the records’ arrival, the prosecutor assured that the records would be submitted soon.
The ATC judge directed that the case records be presented in the next hearing and extended Azam Swati’s interim bail until May 13.
