Balochistan Chief Minister Takes Notice of Acid Attack on Lady PG Doctor in Quetta Hospital

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken notice of the disturbing incident in which acid was thrown at a lady postgraduate doctor at Civil Hospital Quetta and has sought a detailed report of the incident.
According to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the injured doctor has been shifted to the Aria Institute of Medical Sciences Quetta for better medical treatment. He added that an air ambulance has also been kept on standby for possible transfer of the patient to Karachi if required.
Shahid Rind said the Chief Minister has directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical care and full treatment facilities for the injured doctor.
He further stated that investigations into the incident are underway from multiple angles, and efforts are being intensified to identify the suspect with the help of CCTV footage.
The spokesperson added that law enforcement agencies have been given special instructions to arrest the suspect immediately. He said the accused will be apprehended at all costs and given strict punishment under the law.
He also emphasized that there will be no compromise on the safety and protection of female doctors and medical staff, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure their security.
