PM Shehbaz Sharif Greets Turkish President Erdogan on Eid, Agrees to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad (Special Correspondent) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to extend Eid-ul-Azha greetings, during which both leaders agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with President Erdogan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings to the Turkish leadership and the brotherly people of Türkiye, which were warmly reciprocated by President Erdogan.
The statement said that recalling their recent meetings, particularly the April meeting in Antalya, both leaders reaffirmed that the historic, time-tested, and brotherly relations between Türkiye and Pakistan have further strengthened.
Both sides agreed to ensure swift implementation of key decisions taken during recent high-level engagements, with a special focus on expanding cooperation in trade and investment sectors.
During the conversation, the two leaders also discussed ongoing efforts for peace in the region.
The Prime Minister thanked President Erdogan for Türkiye’s strong and consistent support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives. Both leaders agreed to continue close cooperation for promoting peace through dialogue, stability, and de-escalation in the region.
President Erdogan expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bomb blast on a train in Balochistan on May 24 and assured that Türkiye will always stand by Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Turkish President for his solidarity and said that Pakistan will continue its efforts against all forms of terrorism.
