UK Prime Minister Attends Historic Iftar Dinner at House of Commons, Expresses Solidarity with Gaza

In a historic move, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer attended an Iftar dinner organized by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for British Muslims at the House of Commons. This marks the first time a British Prime Minister has participated in such an event.

The Iftar dinner was attended by Members of Parliament, interfaith leaders, and members of the Muslim community. The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a discussion highlighting the significance of Ramadan.

During his address, Prime Minister Starmer expressed his awareness of the challenges faced by the British Muslim community during the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He emphasized that he is committed to ensuring that aid reaches those in need in Gaza.

Starmer also took the opportunity to thank British Muslims for their active role in supporting humanitarian efforts and contributing positively to society.
