BISP Introduces New Payment Method for Beneficiaries Under Digital Wallet System

Islamabad (Special Correspondent) – The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has introduced a new mechanism for disbursing financial assistance, marking a shift toward a digital payment system for beneficiaries.

According to details, several relief initiatives are currently being run under BISP. Previously, payments were made through BISP centers or designated ATM cards. However, under the new system, eligible beneficiaries will receive assistance through a revised digital mechanism instead of the traditional methods.

In line with the government’s vision of a cashless economy, directed by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the next installment of the Benazir Kafaalat Programme will now be transferred directly into digital wallet accounts opened through registered Benazir mobile SIMs.

BISP officials have advised all beneficiaries to ensure they obtain their registered Benazir mobile SIMs. Those who have not yet received one are urged to contact their nearest BISP office using their personal mobile phone.

The deadline to obtain the free Benazir mobile SIM has been set for June 15.
