PM Shehbaz Sharif to Hold Key Meetings With Chinese Leadership in Beijing

Shehbaz Sharif is set to spend a busy day in Beijing during his official visit to China.

According to sources, the Pakistani prime minister will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and other senior Chinese leaders.

Upon his arrival at the Great Hall of the People, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be presented with a guard of honor, while Chinese Premier Li Qiang will formally receive him.

The two prime ministers are scheduled to hold delegation-level talks, during which both sides will also witness the exchange of memorandums of understanding and bilateral agreements between Pakistan and China.

Later, the prime minister and his delegation will visit Tiananmen Square to lay a floral wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes.

During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to meet leading Chinese investors and chief executives of major Chinese companies to discuss investment and economic cooperation.

In addition, the prime minister and Chinese leadership will attend a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
