Direct Iraq–Pakistan Flights Resume After Months-Long Suspension

Iraq: Direct passenger flights between Iraq and Pakistan have officially resumed after a suspension of several weeks, restoring a key air link between the two countries.
According to details, an Iraqi Airways flight carrying passengers from Baghdad landed at Karachi at 4:53 a.m. on Monday. The return flight from Karachi to Baghdad departed at 7:14 a.m. the same day.
The resumption marks the return of a route that had been suspended earlier this year, with the last direct Baghdad-to-Karachi flight arriving on February 28. The corresponding Karachi-to-Baghdad service had last operated on February 15, while several scheduled flights in May were also cancelled.
Authorities said the restored connectivity is expected to improve travel convenience for passengers between Pakistan and Iraq, particularly for pilgrims and business travellers.
Islamabad is also expected to see the launch of direct flights from Baghdad in the near future as part of the expanded route network.
