Karachi Police Seize Large Quantity of Cocaine After Drug Suspect’s Leads

KARACHI: Police in Karachi have recovered a significant quantity of cocaine during a raid at a residential apartment in A-1 Complex on Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, following information provided by a detained suspect identified as Anmol alias Pinky.

According to sources, the seized narcotics are estimated to be worth more than Rs4.5 million. Authorities said the recovery was made after the suspect’s disclosure during interrogation, which led police to the location.

Separately, a new case has been registered against Anmol alias Pinky at Sachal police station as investigations continue into a wider drug trafficking network.

Earlier, Garden Police had arrested the female suspect in a major operation in Karachi, recovering narcotics worth millions of rupees along with other illegal substances.

During interrogation, the suspect allegedly revealed details about an extensive drug distribution network operating in the city. She also claimed that large-scale monthly drug sales worth over Rs20 million were being conducted.

The suspect further alleged involvement of corrupt practices within law enforcement, claiming that payments were made to police personnel and that associates were previously released after receiving bribes. She also stated that intercity bus services were used to transport drugs from Lahore, and fake bank accounts were created using different identities after her original identity card was blocked.

Police officials have not yet issued a formal statement in response to these allegations, while investigations remain ongoing.
