Jamaat-e-Islami, Government Agree on Mechanism to Reduce Petroleum Levy

ISLAMABAD:Jamaat-e-Islami and government committees have reached an agreement on a mechanism to reduce the petroleum levy, according to sources.

Sources said a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman is likely to take place today to discuss the petroleum levy issue.

According to sources, the Prime Minister’s House has informed the Jamaat-e-Islami negotiation team about preparations for the proposed meeting.
