Balochistan Launches ‘Peoples Air Ambulance’ Service for Remote Areas

Quetta: The government of Balochistan has officially launched an air ambulance service named “Peoples Air Ambulance” to provide emergency medical assistance to patients in remote and underdeveloped areas of the province.
The service was inaugurated on Friday by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the project consists of two aircraft equipped with modern medical facilities and emergency healthcare equipment.
He said the initiative aims to provide rapid medical transportation for critically ill patients from distant regions to major hospitals in larger cities, helping save valuable lives.
The health minister explained that the air ambulance service would be made available during emergencies either on the request of district administrations or through directives issued by the provincial government.
However, officials did not disclose the total amount spent on establishing the air ambulance project.
According to the Balochistan Health Department, the primary objective of the service is to improve emergency healthcare access for residents of remote areas where advanced medical facilities are limited.
