Quetta Acid Attack on Lady Doctor: Culprits Will Be Brought to Justice, Says DIG Imran Shoaib
QUETTA: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Quetta Imran Shoaib visited Civil Hospital Quetta on an emergency basis following the acid attack on a female doctor and vowed that the perpetrators will be brought to justice at all costs.
DIG Quetta said the attack on the lady doctor is intolerable and that law enforcement agencies will ensure the arrest of the suspect without delay. He added that special investigation teams have been formed and the scope of the search operation has been expanded.
He directed all SPs and SHOs to take immediate and strict action, stating that those involved in the attack deserve no leniency. He further confirmed that multiple police teams have been mobilized and the net around the suspects is tightening.
The DIG stated that the incident is equivalent to challenging the writ of the state and emphasized that the arrest of the culprits is the top priority, with all available resources being utilized.
He also announced that hospital security will be further strengthened and said that the operation will continue until the arrest of those involved.
Imran Shoaib reiterated that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands and that providing justice to the victim is the police’s responsibility and priority.
He added that strict legal action will be taken against all those involved, and elements spreading fear in society will not be spared. The DIG also sought a real-time update on the investigation and said that law enforcement agencies remain fully active, with arrests expected soon.
