Khushal Khan Kakar Says Party Will Not Remain Silent Over “Mineral Distribution and Job Restrictions” in Balochistan

Quetta: Chairman of the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party Khushal Khan Kakar has said that his party will not remain silent over what he described as unfair distribution of mineral resources, denial of employment opportunities to Pashtuns, and alleged illegal land allotments in Balochistan.
He made the remarks while addressing a public gathering held at Liaquat Park in Quetta on the occasion of the 9th death anniversary of senior politician, parliamentarian and historian Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhail.
The event was organized by the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party, and attended by senior leaders including Raja Muhammad Raza, Muhammad Isa Roshan, Nasrullah Khan Ziarat, and Allahnur Khan, while Nida Sangar served as stage secretary.
Speakers paid tribute to Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhail, praising his political, intellectual, and parliamentary contributions. They described him as a key figure in organizing Pashtun political movements and uniting various nationalist forces.
Khushal Khan Kakar said the late leader played a historic role in shaping Pashtun political thought and strengthening democratic movements at both provincial and national levels.
He claimed that the Pashtun community is facing severe deprivation of rights, alleging that state policies have restricted employment opportunities and economic activity for Pashtuns across the country.
He further said that decades of conflict and instability in the region have severely impacted Pashtun areas, affecting education, healthcare, trade, and livelihoods.
The party leader also criticized restrictions on cross-border trade and alleged unequal economic policies affecting Pashtun transporters and traders.
He said that mineral-rich lands in Pashtun-majority areas are being allotted to outsiders without legal justification, calling it an unacceptable practice.
Khushal Khan Kakar announced that a public rally would be held in Breshore after Eid to formulate a future course of action in consultation with other democratic parties and representatives.
He added that the party would continue its political struggle for what he described as the rights, resources, and identity of the Pashtun people.
