Two Suspects in Gujranwala Double Murder Case Killed in Alleged Firing by Their Own Associates

In a shocking development in the Gunjakh area of Gujranwala, two suspects arrested in the murder case of a woman and her 3-year-old daughter were allegedly killed during an operation while in police custody.
According to police officials, the suspects were being taken for the recovery of the murder weapon when armed accomplices attempted to free them. During the ensuing exchange of fire, both suspects were reportedly killed by their own associates.
The deceased suspects were already in police custody on physical remand in connection with the brutal killing of a woman and her young daughter.
Police investigations had earlier revealed disturbing confessions, including allegations that the woman was first subjected to sexual assault before being murdered. One suspect claimed the victim’s husband orchestrated the killing, while another alleged that the murder was carried out for financial reasons, including repayment of gambling-related debts in exchange for money.
It was further claimed that the victim’s 3-year-old daughter was also killed to prevent identification of the perpetrators.
Authorities say further investigation is underway to verify all statements and establish the full sequence of events.
