Viral Brain Teaser Challenges Users with Simple Yet Tricky Fruit Puzzle

Islamabad: A seemingly simple mathematical brain teaser involving fruits is gaining attention online, leaving many puzzled despite its basic arithmetic structure.
The puzzle presents a series of equations using apples, bananas, and coconuts. In the first row, three apples add up to 30, suggesting each apple has a value of 10.
In the second row, one apple plus two sets of bananas equals 26. Based on the earlier value of the apple, this indicates that each pair of bananas totals 8, meaning a single banana is worth 4.
The third row shows two bananas minus one coconut equaling 2. Using the known value of bananas, this leads to the conclusion that a coconut is worth 6.
Finally, the puzzle asks for the combined value of one apple, one banana, and one coconut. Adding their individual values—10 (apple), 4 (banana), and 6 (coconut)—gives the correct answer: 20.
Although designed as a children’s math problem, the puzzle’s presentation has made it surprisingly tricky, with many people arriving at incorrect answers before carefully analyzing each step.
