Ali Amin Gandapur Accuses Government of Conspiring to Block KP Budget Presentation to Imran Khan

Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has alleged that the provincial budget is being withheld from former Prime Minister Imran Khan, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and that they are being denied a meeting with him. Gandapur expressed his concerns during a speech in the provincial assembly, claiming that there is a deliberate attempt to prevent the budget from being passed and impose a financial emergency to dissolve the government.
Gandapur asserted, “We will not let this conspiracy succeed. The day the founder gives the order, I will dissolve the government.” He also stated that the PTI’s government was removed through a conspiracy, and everyone is aware of who was behind it.
Emphasizing Imran Khan’s commitment to democracy, Gandapur mentioned that the PTI founder had dissolved the governments in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the interest of democracy. “When Imran Khan says we will dissolve the government, we will not allow any conspiracy,” Gandapur added.
The Chief Minister further pointed out that those who misuse their power will become a part of history, and anyone thinking they can escape accountability is mistaken. Reflecting on the state of the province, Gandapur noted, “When we took over, only 18 days’ worth of salaries were available. There was no shortage of efforts to disrupt peace and order in the province, and even now, drone strikes have not been stopped.”
Gandapur’s remarks highlight the ongoing political tensions within the province and the PTI’s stance against what it sees as attempts to undermine its leadership and governance.
