Pakistan Records Over 18% Growth in Services Exports in First Eight Months of Current Fiscal Year

Pakistan’s services sector exports have shown strong growth during the first eight months of the current fiscal year, with an increase of 18.4% compared to the same period last year. Total services exports from July to February amounted to $6.46 billion, up from $5.46 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The information technology sector also performed notably, with IT exports rising by $49 million to reach a total of $2.97 billion over the eight months. This represents a 19.71% growth compared to the previous year. The increase in IT exports includes earnings from telecommunications, computer, and information services.
Other services contributing to the export growth include manufacturing, transport, travel, construction, insurance, and financial services.
However, the report noted a slight decline in February 2026, when services exports fell by 8.38%—from $879 million in January to $811 million in February.
The data reflects a positive trend for Pakistan’s services sector, indicating resilience in IT and other service exports despite month-to-month fluctuations.
