Global Oil Prices Dip, Petrol and Diesel Prices May Fall in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A decline in global oil prices has raised the possibility of a reduction in petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan in the coming weeks.
In the international market, the price of Brent Crude Oil fell by 44 cents to $94.49 per barrel. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate crude dropped to $90.59 per barrel.
Market analysts attribute the recent decline to ongoing diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran, which has eased supply concerns and contributed to relative stability in oil prices. The ceasefire environment has also played a role in keeping price fluctuations moderate.
Global crude oil prices directly impact petroleum product rates worldwide. If the downward trend continues, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan could also see a reduction.
However, officials note that any final decision regarding fuel price adjustments will be made by the government after reviewing overall economic factors.
