Female Suicide Bomber Used in Quetta FC Headquarters Attack, Facilitator Fled to Afghanistan: Officials

Quetta: Authorities have revealed that a female suicide bomber was used in the attack on the FC Headquarters in Quetta on November 30, while a facilitator involved in the incident has fled to Afghanistan.

During a press conference, Deputy Inspector General Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Hamza Shafqaat and Assistant Secretary Interior Balochistan Babar Yousafzai shared details of the investigation.

According to officials, a woman named Rahima Bibi, a resident of Dalbandin, stated that she was married in April 2025 to a man identified as Manzoor Ahmed. She said her husband occasionally used her phone.

Rahima Bibi further revealed that on November 11, her husband brought an unidentified woman to their home, and on the night of November 12, he took that woman away with him. She added that after the November 30 attack on the FC Headquarters, her husband told her that the same woman had been used as the suicide bomber.

She also stated that her husband later instructed her to travel to Afghanistan with his brother, but she was subsequently arrested.

DIG CTD Hamza Shafqaat confirmed that Rahima Bibi is currently in government custody.

Speaking at the press briefing, Babar Yousafzai said that terrorist elements are increasingly exploiting women and children, and also misusing family and social networks in urban areas after moving from border regions.

He further alleged that Afghan territory is being used against Pakistan, and that terrorists often take refuge there after carrying out attacks.
