Pakistan Will Support Saudi Arabia if Needed, Says PM Spokesperson Musharraf Zaidi
Islamabad: Musharraf Zaidi, spokesperson for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has said that Pakistan will support Saudi Arabia if the situation requires it.
Speaking to Bloomberg, Zaidi stated that there was “no question” about Pakistan’s position and that the country would stand with Saudi Arabia at all times and under all circumstances.
He noted that security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is not new, adding that both nations have long supported each other’s defense interests.
Zaidi further said that Pakistan’s Field Marshal had recently met the Saudi defense minister in Riyadh to discuss joint defense measures.
He also revealed that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has been in contact with his counterpart from Iran since the start of the conflict.
