Man Who Lured Friend for Iftar and Killed Him Arrested Along with Accomplice in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Police have arrested a man and his accomplice for allegedly murdering their friend after inviting him for iftar, police said on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspects lured the victim to their house on the pretext of breaking the fast together and shot him dead over a previous enmity about a week ago.
After the killing, the accused allegedly attempted to destroy evidence and transported the body in a carry van to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chakwal. Police said the suspects tried to portray the incident as a suicide before fleeing the scene.
Following registration of the case, Jatli Police arrested the victim’s friend along with the driver of the carry van. Efforts are underway to apprehend other facilitators involved in the crime.
SP Saddar Anum Sher stated that the arrested individuals will be sent to court with solid evidence to ensure they receive exemplary punishment.
