Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri Warns Provincial Government over PB-21 Hub Recount: “Any Violence Will Be Their Responsibility”

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – **Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri**, Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights, has issued a stern warning to the **Balochistan provincial government and local authorities** regarding the ongoing **recounting process in PB-21 Hub**. She stated that **any incident of unrest, firing, killings, or disorder** during the recount would be directly the responsibility of the provincial administration.

Speaking to the media, Senator Zehri emphasized that maintaining **law and order is the fundamental duty of the state**, and accountability would fall on **Chief Minister Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Balochistan, and relevant officials** if peace is disrupted. She underscored that her party and supporters are **committed to peaceful, legal, and constitutional methods** and reject any politics of violence or chaos.

Senator Zehri described the recount as a **legal process aimed solely at ensuring transparency and respecting the public mandate**, warning that no party should resort to provocation or the use of force. She stressed that any attempt to disturb public order would not only violate the law but also undermine **democratic values**, and strict legal action should be taken against such elements.

Highlighting the **responsibility of state institutions**, she called for the recount to be conducted in a **neutral, transparent, and peaceful manner** to maintain public confidence and strengthen democracy. Senator Zehri concluded by asserting that her party will continue its **peaceful struggle for constitutional and democratic rights**, remaining undeterred by threats, intimidation, or violence, with the **rule of law and public mandate as the ultimate priority**.
