Govt Was Ready to Shift Imran Khan to Hospital, Arrangements Completed: PTI Sources

**Islamabad:** Sources within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have claimed that the government had agreed in principle to shift party founder Imran Khan to a hospital and that all arrangements for the transfer had been finalized.

According to party sources, the opposition had demanded that Imran Khan be admitted to Shifa International Hospital for at least 10 days. The government was reportedly willing to keep him at the hospital until completion of treatment, subject to certain conditions.

Sources said the government’s conditions included that no details of the medical treatment would be made public and that party workers would not be called to the hospital.

It was further claimed that on the night between Friday and Saturday, arrangements for Imran Khan’s transfer had been completed, and vehicles for him and the party leadership were ready.

According to PTI sources, the government contacted Imran Khan’s sisters and asked them to nominate family representatives. The sisters proposed the names of Dr. Asim and Dr. Uzma, but these were reportedly rejected by the government. Subsequently, Dr. Burki’s name was suggested, which was also declined.

Sources added that the government then proposed the name of Qasim Zaman. Both Qasim Zaman and Imran Khan’s sisters allegedly expressed concern over the proposal.

When no agreement was reached on the nominated name, the government reportedly informed on Sunday night that the hospital transfer would no longer be possible.

PTI sources also stated that party leaders met doctors at PIMS Hospital and pledged that details of the meeting would not be made public.
