Decision on Pakistan-India Match to Be Announced Soon, Says PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that a decision regarding the Pakistan-India match will be made shortly.

Speaking informally to the media, he said, “We are always ready for good news. Bangladesh has requested us to play the match, and their issues with the ICC should be resolved. We had taken a stand for Bangladesh and supported their position.”

Commenting on the PSL franchise auction, he added, “Today is not just a victory for the PSL or PCB but for Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called twice during the auction to congratulate us. We hope the PSL continues to improve year by year. Some believed this franchise wouldn’t sell for over one billion, but our aim was to sell the Multan franchise at the highest possible price. PSL is being built into the biggest brand in the world. Multan Sultanz is our brand, and we have a deep connection with it. The environment is very positive.”

Regarding the T20 World Cup, Naqvi said, “The matter entirely concerns Bangladesh. We are waiting for the ICC’s stance, and discussions between the ICC and Bangladesh are ongoing. Once the guests arrive, everything else becomes secondary.”
