Balochistan Government Directs Quetta Municipal Authorities to Adopt Humane TNVR Policy for Stray Animals

Quetta:The Balochistan government has directed the Quetta Municipal Administration to stop killing stray dogs and cats and to implement the internationally recognized TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) program instead of using fake or substandard vaccines.

With the cooperation of *Panah Quetta*, the process of safely and humanely managing stray dogs and cats is currently underway in the city. The initiative focuses on modern, scientific, and humane methods to address the issue of stray animals.

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, stated that the solution to the stray animal problem lies not in killing but in adopting advanced, scientific, and humane approaches. He urged the public to support government efforts aimed at animal welfare.

The Chief Minister further emphasized that the implementation of the animal protection policy is being made effective and sustainable. He added that Balochistan is becoming a safer province not only for humans but also for animals.
