PM’s Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Announces Revival of Steel Mills

Islamabad: Haroon Akhtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industry and Production, announced the revival of steel mills during a media briefing in Islamabad.

He stated that the government is working to restore steel mills, noting that interest in the sector is coming not only from Russia but also from four other parties. Akhtar added that the government will soon introduce a new Energy Vehicle Policy.

He further mentioned that policies for vaccines and solar energy are also in the pipeline, with a special focus on developing the production sector. Additionally, the government is considering manufacturing home appliances locally in Pakistan to boost domestic production.
