Elon Musk’s Net Worth Hits Record $726.3 Billion, Becomes World’s Richest Person
**Islamabad:** Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s total net worth has surged to a record $726.3 billion, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List, marking an unprecedented milestone at the close of the year.
Musk crossed several major financial landmarks this year, with his personal wealth surpassing the market value of many countries and global corporations. Despite a $3.3 billion decline on Wednesday after Tesla shares slipped by 1 percent to close at $449.72, the company’s stock still recorded an 18 percent gain over the year, at one point approaching the $500 mark.
According to Forbes, Musk has remained the world’s richest person since May 2024, when he overtook LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault.
Other top billionaires on the list include Google co-founder Larry Page with $256.9 billion, Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison at $245 billion, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with $242.2 billion, and Google co-founder Sergey Brin with $237.1 billion.
Musk’s fortune is now comparable to the world’s 23rd-largest economy, exceeding the GDPs of countries such as Belgium, Ireland, Argentina, and Sweden, and approaching that of Taiwan.
His wealth also surpasses the market capitalization of major global companies including Oracle, Johnson & Johnson, and LVMH. In the cryptocurrency space, Musk’s net worth is more than double the market value of Ethereum, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin.
