PML-N’s Osama Abdul Karim Elected Unopposed from Dera Ghazi Khan PP-289

**Islamabad:** In the by-election for PP-289 in Dera Ghazi Khan, Osama Abdul Karim of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has been elected unopposed.

The opposing candidate, Muhammad Ibad Khan, submitted a withdrawal letter to the Election Commission, leaving Osama Abdul Karim as the sole candidate. The PP-289 seat had fallen vacant after Sardar Mehmood Qadir Khan Leghari was elected as a member of the National Assembly.

The Election Commission confirmed that the election process concluded following the withdrawal of the opposing candidate. Osama Abdul Karim’s unopposed victory is being seen as a significant political achievement for the PML-N.

Celebrations were held at Osama Abdul Karim’s residence, with a large number of party workers and supporters visiting to offer congratulations.
